On June 16th, 2021, Michele Mathews, MBA-HRM, PHR, SHRM-CP, Certified Safety Management Specialist (SMS), OSHA Construction & General Industry Authorized Trainer, and Mathews’ HR & Safety Consulting Services founder, was a presenter for the HR Tampa Chapter Dinner Meeting.
Michele Mathews shared how to mitigate risk, prepare for an OSHA inspection, and Employer and Employee Rights During an OSHA investigation. She explained the essential elements to keep in mind, as well as the items to have prepared before an OSHA complaint lands on your desk, or an OSHA inspector shows up at your door/jobsite. Keeping your people and your organization safe is often not a simple task.
Additionally, the Biden Administration has indicated that it will request that OSHA (The
Occupational Safety and Health Administration) implement more regulations, increase inspections, add additional inspectors, and increase fines.
